Description
The richness and elegance of a Saint-Émilion red wine
The estate
Located in the southwest of the village of Saint-Émilion, Château Monbousquet is a Grand Cru Classé where the 34-hectare vineyard presents a great mosaic of terroirs.
The vineyard
This Saint-Émilion wine is developed from vines on average 28 years od, resting on sandy, sandy-clay and sandy-gravel soils with iron oxide residue between 60 and 80 cm deep.
Winemaking and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted before being vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in barrels, as is the ageing process (50% new barrels and 50% one wine).
Blend
Château Monbousquet 2022 is a blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%).
