Situated to the southwest of the village of Saint-Emilion, Chateau Monbousquet is a Grand Cru Classe whose 34-hectare vineyard presents a large mosaic of terroirs.
This Saint-Emilion wine is made from vines that are 27 years old on average and rest on sandy, sandy-clay and sandy-gravel soils with iron ore between 60 and 80 cm deep.
Vinification and aging
The hand-picked grapes are rigorously sorted before being vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in barrels, as is the aging process (50% new barrels and 50% second-fill barrels).
Chateau Monbousquet 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%).
