Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey has an exceptional terroir with a 30 hectare vineyard exclusively dedicated to the production of this First Classified Growth of Sauternes.
In Sauternes, the humidity was felt more strongly than in other appellations in the year 2019, thus allowing for the reduction of water stress on the vines. After a rainy phase, the hot days of September allowed the botytris cinerea to develop consistently and concentrate the flavors of the fruit. The harvest took place from October 11 to 14.
Fermentation for 10 to 15 days in 225-liter French oak barrels.
12 months in 225L barrels, of which 1/3 new oak. 6 months stainless steel tanks.
