The elegance and balance of a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

A great vintage for the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe Chateau de Ferrand, the 2018 vintage is in line with the fantastic 2010 and 2016.

Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, Chateau de Ferrand is ideally situated on the highest hillside of Saint-Emilion.

After more than two and a half years of work, Chateau de Ferrand now boasts a state-of-the-art infrastructure, which contributes to the production of wines distinguished by their fine precision and elegance.

Due to the contrasting weather conditions throughout the year, 2018 will be remembered as a challenging vintage that required constant care. The know-how of the technical teams combined with the great clay-limestone terroir of Chateau de Ferrand have allowed for superb grape harvests. The vineyard was spared the attack of mildew in the spring.

The Chateau de Ferrand 2018 is made from Merlot (73%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (27%). A balanced wine with remarkably ripe fruit, the Chateau de Ferrand 2018 is undoubtedly one of the greatest vintages of the estate.
