Marks and reviews
Château Citran is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. In 1996, the Merlaut family took over the reins of this property to produce elegant wines of the Haut-Médoc appellation.
Château Citran 2022 is an Haut-Médoc wine produced from 86 hectares of vines. The vines are 35 years old on average and are planted on a mosaic of gravelly-sandy soils with starfish limestone and clay-limestone soils.
Cabernet Sauvignon (62%)
Cabernet Franc (10%).
The colour has a lovely concentration and beautiful ruby red tint, adorned with purplish highlights.
Opening on notes of perfectly ripe red and black fruit, the nose unveils during aeration fruity (strawberry, cherry, sour cherry, blackberry), spicy and woody scents.
A supple attack gives way to a palate with concentrated tannins that mingle harmoniously with a smooth and enveloping feel. Dense and lingering, the finish entices with its structure and freshness.
