The 2014 yield proved to be lower than usual for Chateau Canon La Gaffelière. However, the certified organic vintage -a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe- carries lovely, fresh aromas with commanding juicy Burlat cherries, plums scent and balsamic hints (exotic, rare wood). The 55% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon blend offers refined tannins: present, tight, yet fine grained. The finish carries freshness and pleasant fruits.
