Description
A Grand Cru from Saint-Émilion, ample and delicate
The estate
The origins of the Château Brun date back to the 16th century. Since then, the family estate has been passed down from generation to generation, thus ensuring the continuity of traditional know-how in its purest expression. This centuries-old transmission is at the origin of a Grand Cru from the Saint-Émilion appellation.
The vineyard
The Château Brun 2023 is a Saint-Émilion wine from a vineyard of nearly 9 hectares located on the slopes of a hill to the northwest of the appellation. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are planted in one piece on a clay-limestone terroir facing due south. The grape variety of Château Brun consists of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
Vinification and ageing
Harvested by hand and then sorted, the grapes are destemmed and vinified in thermo-regulated concrete vats. Maceration for 18 to 20 days. Racking. The ageing lasts for 18 months.
