Description
The elegance and aromatic finesse of a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe
The property
Owned by the Pradel de Lavaux and Boüard de Laforest families, Chateau Bellevue is a Grand Cru Classe of Saint-Emilion. Since 2007, the Chateau Angelus team has been watching with passion and rigour over this vineyard on the right bank of Bordeaux.
The vineyard
Chateau Bellevue watches over a 6.82 hectare vineyard in one piece on clay-limestone soils.
Vinification and aging
Fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel, concrete and oak vats. Vatting for 2 to 3 weeks. The wine is filled into barrel following the running off. Aging lasts 16 to 20 months.
The blend
The Chateau Bellevue 2020 is a 100% Merlot.
The tasting
Color
Lively and deep, the color is dark, almost black in hue.
Nose
Aromatic and elegant, the nose reveals refreshing aromas of small black fruits (blackberry).
Palate
Full and structured, the palate seduces with its precision, leading to a persistent and crunchy finish.
