Intense citrus aromas such as yellow lemon, lime, and yuzu mingle with white fruit notes, uplifted by spring floral nuances.
Palate
The palate entices with its subtle, silky texture.
Food & wine pairings
This cuvée pairs with refined, delicate cuisine: gentle cooking methods, espumas, chiffonades, iodized products, and refreshing touches such as fresh cheeses, sprouts, white flowers, or citrus. Condiments blending land and sea, or a crunchy spelt and celery risotto enlivened with chicken broth, create pairings that are both subtle and refined.

The finesse and richness of a great vintage champagne in a limited edition
The estate
A flagship reference among the great names of Champagne, the House of Veuve Clicquot has built its reputation since its founding in 1772 thanks to a woman: Madame Clicquot. Within a few years at the end of the 18th century, Madame Clicquot became “La Grande Dame de la Champagne” and originated the invention of the riddling table, with the motto “one quality only, the very first.” The internationally renowned Veuve Clicquot Champagne House is distinguished by its instantly recognizable bottles, adorned with a yellow label inspired by the sunrise, and offers cuvées with a vinous style.
The vineyard
With 390 hectares of land, the House of Veuve Clicquot owns one of the largest vineyards in the Champagne region. This vineyard is also notable for its exceptional quality, spread across 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus of Champagne.
The wine
Crafted from grapes primarily sourced from the House’s Grands Crus and historic parcels, this premium cuvée pays tribute to Madame Clicquot, nicknamed “La Grande Dame de la Champagne” for her innovative and bold spirit.
Visionary, the House celebrates each vintage of La Grande Dame through a unique and timeless artistic collaboration. For this 2018 edition, Veuve Clicquot called upon French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.
The artist highlights this vintage through graphic expressions featured on the label, the drape, and the case. On one hand, the label with irregular edges, featuring its handwritten logo and a hue reminiscent of the iconic Veuve Clicquot Brut Carte Jaune cuvée. Additionally, each bottle is draped in embroidered white linen, echoing an ancient Italian method for chilling bottles. Finally, the case, whose “Toile du Marais” fabric is accompanied by a ribbon branded with the House’s logo and the designer’s signature.

This champagne benefits from extended aging in the House’s century-old cellars.
