The 1999 William Deutz Brut is representative of the Champagne House Deutz. It bears a sparkling golden robe, with warm glints and fine bubbles. It is precise, delicate and complex on the nose. Indeed, it gives off fruity aromas of mirabelle, white peach or even mild spices and narcissus. On the palate, this William Deutz 1999 reveals a rare intensity in which mineral and roasty notes express with suppleness. The attack leads to more generous aromatic notes: yellow fruit, candied ginger, nutmeg and honey... The taste seduces by its tender and velvety texture in which its breadth and vinosity echo the original freshness. The finish has a great aromatic persistence on brioche and hazelnut flavours that linger forever...

    Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 1999 Brut Cuvee William Deutz offers up ripe, tropical fruit, sweet spices, butterscotch and toastiness in a big, extroverted style. The wine comes across as rather rich and dense, but there is just enough minerality to provide a measure of balance and freshness. This bottle was disgorged on December 18, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2017.
