Dark-fruited, delicately spicy, floral, tobacco, dried herbs; the palate is straight, fresh, crisp, the fruit wrapped in the finest tannins, powerful, charming, long-lasting. A highly elegant Pavillon Rouge that will bring pleasure at every stage of its life.

Dark blue cherries, violets, and milk chocolate on the nose—enticing and opulent. Super perfumed, leaping from the glass. Supple and lively, with bright acidity giving a crisp outer shell and a direct, linear core. Cooling mint freshness and a dusting of salinity add finesse. Muscular yet smooth, well built with strong backbone and spice. First Pavillon with such a high level of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, adding structure. Concentrated but refined, with real tension. An excellent Pavillon. pH 3.63.

A plush and opulent Pavillon Rouge with plums, boysenberries and hints of cedar and chocolate. Full-bodied, this has lovely powdery tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Juicy and delicious, it's so attractive now that it’s hard not to drink. Second wine of Chateau Margaux. 64% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot, 7% petit verdot and 5% cabernet franc. Best after 2028.

Showing a nice depth of color, the wine pops with aromas of flowers, cocoa, black cherries, blackberries, and cigar box. Sensuous, silky, and fresh, with layers of sweet, dark, red fruits, elegant textures, and purity, the creamy end notes seal the deal. The wine was made from blending 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, 14.8% ABV. Drink from 2025-2040.

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Ripe red cherries, currant, a touch of herbal savouriness, fine tobacco nuances. Juicy and elegant on the palate with fine cherry fruit and ripe, integrated tannins. Pronounced fruit on the finish, mineral, elegant viscosity with a long finish. Certain ageing potential.

Bottled in July, the inky-hued 2022 Château Margaux Pavillon Rouge offers a classic nose of ripe black raspberries, cassis, spring flowers, spicy oak, and graphite. This leads to a medium- to full-bodied Margaux with remarkable purity, a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a great finish.

64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 25 hl/ha, pH 3.63. Fine, red-berried bouquet, a dense bouquet of lilac, light tobacco and verbena. On the mid-weight yet dense palate with a soft texture, ripe extract, supporting freshness and a tightly knit tannic framework. In the focused, finely aromatic finish, blueberry contours; you don’t feel the 14.8% abv at all—everything is in balance.

Marked by notes of sweet spices, black berries, cocoa and licorice, the bouquet of Pavillon Rouge invites you to taste the wine. The suave attack paves the way for a charming, full-bodied wine carried by compact tannins that go hand in hand with the freshness of the structure. Balanced, the wine is mouthwatering, indulgent and already very approachable, while offering good aging potential.

The nose is fruity, intense and precise, offering a certain power, a lovely fine grain and aromatic depth. It reveals notes of pulpy wild strawberry, pulpy blackberry and, more subtly, cornflower, combined with touches of small red fruits, infusion, violet, as well as a discreet hint of nutmeg, a very discreet hint of Cubeb pepper and a subtle touch of cinnamon. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity and balanced, with a tangy backbone, indulgence, accuracy, zestiness, aromatic depth and a touch of creamy gourmandise. A lovely finesse in its grain. On the palate, this wine shows notes of creamy blackberry and creamy raspberry, and more slightly pulpy blackcurrant, combined with hints of strawberry, dark chocolate, toasty notes and toasted almond. The tannins are supple, gourmand and nicely managed. Long finish. A certain sapidity on the background/end of the palate. A fine enveloping, radiant side to the juicy fruit.

Impressive black currant fruit aromas and ripe, silky tannins mark this second wine of Margaux. It is a juicy wine with black fruits and a fine concentration. This fine wine should be ready from 2027.
