BY.OTT Rose from Domaines Ott: A voluptuous, mineral and fresh Côtes de Provence
Rose produced by Domaines Ott is produced from 2 fields with quite distinct characteristics in the Côtes de Provence appellation. The vines planted at Domaine du Clos Mireille are, on average, 16 years old and planted on schist and clay. The vines planted at Chateau de Selle are, on average, 19 years old and planted on gypsum, red clay, dolomite and sandstone mixed with gravel and stone. This special cuvee is produced in Chateau de Selle's new cellar. BY.OTT is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault and 10% Syrah.
BY.OTT rose 2016 from Domaines Ott has a beautiful pale rose crystal color. The nose presents aromas of citrus with subtle notes of red fruits. In the mouth, the wine is voloptuous with minerality. Flavors of yellow fruit (peaches, apricots) that add a fantastic freshness. The finish is juicy and incredibly well-balanced.
