The estate
Arnaud, Lionel and Jean-Christophe Bourgeois are the third generation to lead the family estate founded in 1950 by Henri Bourgeois. Spread over 72 hectares, the vineyard of the Domaine Henri Bourgeois extends over a mosaic of terroirs composed of clay-limestone soils, Kimmeridgian marls and flint, all contributing to the signature of each of these Loire wines.
Through the passion and rigor applied to both vineyard management and parcel-by-parcel vinification, of which they were pioneers, the Bourgeois family produces wines renowned for their quality, finesse and pure expression of each of these great native terroirs.
The wine
Formerly known as La Demoiselle de Bourgeois, this exceptional Pouilly-Fumé is now called “JS-150” in reference to the unique character of the terroir from which it comes: that of the Upper Jurassic.
The vineyard
This Pouilly-Fumé wine is crafted from a rigorous selection of grapes from St Laurent l’Abbaye, a commune whose subsoil is composed of Kimmeridgian marls where the first vines of the appellation were planted.
