Description

A fresh and beautifully structured Saint-Émilion wine

The estate

The Clos de l’Oratoire is one of the properties of Count Von Neipperg, who also heads notably the châteaux Canon la Gaffelière, d'Aiguilhe and La Mondotte.

The vineyard

Clos de l’Oratoire is a Saint-Émilion wine from a vineyard of over 10 hectares planted on soils composed of sand and clay. The vineyard is certified Organic Agriculture.

Vinification and ageing

Vinification in wooden vats. Extraction by pneumatic punching down. Maceration for 30 days. Ageing on fine lees in 75% barrels (of which 30% are new) and 25% in wooden and concrete vats.

Blend

This Clos de l’Oratoire 2023 is the result of a blend of Merlot (75%) and Cabernet Franc (5%).
