Tasting Notes
Appearance
The wine displays a beautiful deep purple hue, enhanced by deep violet highlights.
Nose
The nose is expressive and seductive, dominated by aromas of ripe red fruits, such as black and red cherry, fig, and plum. Spicy notes, particularly black pepper, subtly enrich this aromatic bouquet, adding remarkable complexity.
Palate
On the palate, the wine reveals itself as dense and concentrated, offering a fresh attack that evolves into spicy flavors with great elegance. The texture is silky, and the aromatic depth is impressive. The finish is very long, marked by a lingering spiciness and a refined freshness that invites another sip.
The Richness and Elegance of a Great Chilean Red Wine
The Estate
Located in the magnificent Colchagua Valley, Clos Apalta has become one of the most renowned estates in Chile. Clos Apalta's microclimate, combined with time-honored craftsmanship, is the cornerstone behind the creation of exceptional artisan wines.
The Vineyard
On an exceptional terroir, the vineyard spans 60 hectares of vines, some of which are over 80 years old. Clos Apalta is a Central Valley wine renowned for its refinement and distinctive aromatic signature.
Winemaking and Aging
A 5- to 6-week maceration with manual punching down. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak vats (89%) and oak barrels (11%). Malolactic fermentation occurs exclusively in French oak barrels (100% new). Aging lasts 21 months in French oak barrels (78% new and 22% second-fill). No fining or filtration.

Cabernet Sauvignon (18%)
