A fine red wine from Haut-Medoc by Chateau Verdignan
The estate
Chateau Verdignan is located across from the Gironde Estuary, on the left bank of Bordeaux. This property produces some fine red wines typical of the Haut-Medoc appellation.
The vineyard
The Verdignan vineyard covers 60 hectares in the Haut-Medoc appellation. The soils in which the vines are planted consist of gravel on marl with a clay subsoil. The vineyard is managed in such a way as to preserve the environment and is certified for High Environmental Value 3.
The winemaking
Vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks.
The aging
Aging in French oak barrels for 12 months.
The blend
Cabernet sauvignon (65%), merlot (30%), cabernet franc (5%).
