The intense and fruity expression of a great Margaux
Located on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region, Chateau Labégorce has been for some ten years one of the leading brands of the famous appellation, producing wines that seduce with their style and their consistent quality.
The typical Medoc blend contains Cabernet Sauvignon (46%), Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (8%) and Petit Verdot (6%), a testament to the typical characteristics of the 2017 vintage. In order to let the wine express its full personality, the maturation was carried out in only 33% new oak barrels and the rest in barrels of one previous use.
With its vibrant expression, richesse and the complexity of its aromatic palette, the Chateau Labegorce 2017 reveals the purity of fruit, while the palate already displays a delicate tannic structure with fine grains. An excellent vintage for Chateau Labegorce.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Beginning with the 2009 vintage, Labégorce Zédé was folded into Labégorce, both of which are owned by the Perrodo family (as is the recently acquired Marquis d'Alesme). Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Labégorce gives pronounced black fruits, blackberries and black plums with suggestions of underbrush, lavender and bay leaves. The palate is medium-bodied, ripe, plump, juicy and expressive with plush tannins and good length. The current blend is 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot.
