A fine red wine from Margaux by Chateau Labegorce
The estate
With its elegant neoclassical style, Chateau Labegorce is a property in the Margaux appellation, renowned for several centuries for the quality of its wines. In 1989, the Perrodo family acquired this estate and invested their energy to elevate it to the height of its potential.
The vineyard
The Chateau Labegorce vineyard extends over 70 hectares of vines, in the greatest sandy-gravel and sandy-silty soils of the Margaux appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux.
The vintage
The climatic conditions of 2019 were quite mixed, yielding a beautiful vintage. The beginning of the vegetative cycle was peaceful, with favorable summer conditions followed by light rains in September, which helped the fruit ripen fully in time for the harvest.
The aging
40% new oak barrels.
The blend
Merlot
(46%), cabernet sauvignon (40%), cabernet franc (9%), petit verdot (5%).
