Chateau Labegorce 2015

Bordeaux - Margaux - Red Chateau Labegorce Chateau Labegorce 2015 1435/15
  • Parker : 91-93
  • J. Robinson : 16+

Château Labégorce 2015 is a Margaux that is among the great vintages of the property. It might even be the best vintage that the property has ever produced. Intense in color, the wine expresses frankly and generously rich aromas of black fruit dominated by blackcurrant and blackberry jam, without losing its freshness. Aeration confirms the purity of fruit and develops spicy accents. The initial entry on the palate is dynamic. the mid-palate is dense and silky, with very elegant tannins already perfectly integrated into the wine, leaving a feeling of fullness and tactile sensuality. The final fruit and freshness cause a savory sensation. A Margaux with lace and frankness, very harmonious and built for aging.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2015 Labegorce is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot that was picked between 15 September and 20 October. Cropped at 38 hl/ha and matured in 45% new oak, it has a sumptuous bouquet with macerated black cherries, wild strawberry and a touch of fresh prune. The palate is well balanced and much more reserved than the aromatics: crisp and firm tannin, nicely focused with a pleasing salinity on the structured finish that suggest that this Labegorce will reward long-term ageing.;2022 - 2045
