A delicate and aromatic Grand Cru from Saint-Emilion

The estate

Located on the right bank of the Bordeaux region, Chateau La Fleur is a beautiful property classified as a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and belonging to the Dassault family. Chateau La Fleur offers wines reflecting the typical character of the great terroirs of Saint-Emilion.

The vineyard

Chateau La Fleur reigns over an exceptional vineyard, spread over 27.5 hectares on the northern plateau of Saint-Emilion. Aged 33 years on average, the vines are planted in clay-limestone soils.

Vinification and aging

Harvested manually, the grapes were subjected to density-sorting and plot-by-plot vinification in concrete tanks and thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Plot-by-plot aging lasted 15 to 16 months in barrels (60% in new barrels, 36% in second-fill barrels and 4% in amphorae).

The blend

The Chateau La Fleur 2020 was made from a blend of Merlot (92%), Cabernet Franc (6%), Cabernet Sauvignon (2%).
