Château d'Yquem 1986
Luminous orange color. The nose opens with candied citrus, mandarin and orange marmalade before moving towards quince paste and tarte Tatin, lifted by saffron and notes of cedar, sandalwood and white truffle. On the palate, vibrant and airy, the wine offers a silky mid-palate and a finish of refined, beautifully harmonious bitterness.

Château d'Yquem 1996
Deep, luminous golden color. The remarkably elegant nose blends ripe orange, mirabelle plum, quince paste and saffron with hints of vanilla and honey. On the palate, lively and linear, it reveals a dense, smooth mid-palate that leads into a long, saline finish.

Château d'Yquem 2006
Precociously amber color. The generous, complex nose combines warm spices, candied citrus, quince paste, green tea and caramel. On the palate, freshness takes center stage, supported by an airy texture and a dense mid-palate. The finish, with its fine bitterness, highlights the citrus and spice notes.

The estate
A true Bordeaux legend, Château d'Yquem began its winemaking history in 1593, when the Sauvage family acquired the land. Elevated to the unique rank of Premier Cru Supérieur in 1855, this jewel embodies absolute excellence. Today, the estate belongs to the LVMH group, headed by Bernard Arnault, while Pierre Lurton oversees its management. More than a wine, it is a luxury brand with worldwide renown, famed for its uncompromising standards and never hesitating to sacrifice a harvest if the quality is not perfect.

The vineyard
Located at the highest point of the Sauternes appellation, the terroir enjoys an exceptional geological mosaic of gravel, sand and clay-limestone soils. This unique position benefits from the morning mists rising from the Ciron, which are essential to the development of noble rot. Committed to an environmentally friendly approach and converting to organic farming, the estate carries out extremely meticulous hand harvesting in successive passes through the vines, picking only perfectly concentrated berries.
