Description
The estate
Located on the banks of the Gironde estuary, Chateau Charmail has established itself as one of the finest references among the exceptional Crus Bourgeois chateaux on the left bank of Bordeaux.
The vineyard
Chateau Charmail 2021 is an Haut-Medoc wine produced from a 28.5-hectare vineyard. The vines are 31 years old on average and are planted on clay and gravel soils. The estate is currently converting to organic farming.
Vinification and aging
Manual harvesting. Cold pre-fermentation maceration (5°C) for 10 days. Extraction at 21 degrees maximum. The wine is aged for 12 months, 85% in 500-liter barrels (50% of which are new wood) and 15% in egg-shaped concrete tanks.

Petit Verdot (20%)
Cabernet Franc (10%).
