A fruity and delicate Margaux red wine
The estate
Owned by the Guillement family since 1932, the Château Boyd-Cantenac is one of the most consistent crus of the Margaux appellation. This 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855 seduces lovers of great Margaux wines with its unique style reflecting a mastered know-how. With a great ageing potential, the wines of Château Boyd-Cantenac present this aromatic complexity typical of the Margaux appellation while the palate is smooth and refined.
The vineyard
The Château Boyd-Cantenac 2023 is a Margaux wine from a 17-hectare vineyard located in the heart of the appellation. The vines, with an average age of 38 years, rest on siliceous gravel.
Vinification and ageing
Maceration in stainless steel tanks for 20 days. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, 90% of which are new, for a period of 17 to 18 months.
Blend
Cabernet Sauvignon (56%), Merlot (33%), Petit Verdot (7%) and Cabernet Franc (4%).
