Description
The freshness and finesse of a Margaux wine
The property
Owned by the Guillement family since 1932, the Château Boyd-Cantenac is one of the most consistent crus of the Margaux appellation. This 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855 seduces lovers of great Margaux wines with its unique style, reflecting a mastered know-how. With a great aging potential, the wines exhibit this aromatic complexity typical of Margaux while the Palate is suave and refined.
The vineyard
The Château Boyd-Cantenac is a Margaux wine from a vineyard located in the heart of the appellation and whose vines rest on siliceous gravel.
The vintage
The meteorological cycle of the year 2018 is divided into two very different periods, with very rainy months at the beginning of the season, followed by a magnificent, dry and hot summer. The thermal variations between day and night during the month of August favored beautiful maturities.
Blend
65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc.
