Description
The freshness and finesse of a rosé Champagne
The estate
In the shadow of its 3 kilometers of Gallo-Roman cellars, the highly regarded Champagne Joseph Perrier House perpetuates a savoir-faire and respect for tradition passed down from generation to generation. Each plot is vinified separately to express the identity of each terroir, with bespoke aging.
The wine
A prestige cuvée, Cuvée Royale Brut Rosé is crafted from around fifteen terroirs in Champagne located in the communes of Verneuil, Cumières, Damery, Sacy, Les Riceys, Avize, Chouilly and Bassuet.
Winemaking and aging
Composed of about 20% reserve wines and aged for 36 months in the house’s cellars, this rosé Champagne has a dosage of 7 g/L.
Blend
Chardonnay (40%)
Pinot Meunier (40%)
Pinot Noir (40%), of which around 10% is vinified as red wine.
Tasting characteristics and serving suggestions of Cuvée Royale Brut Rosé by Maison Joseph Perrier
Tasting
Appearance
Elegant in appearance, the color shimmers with golden highlights. The effervescence is lively and delicate.
Nose
Opening with scents of red fruits (cherry, morello cherry, redcurrant), the nose reveals, with aeration, delicious notes of blood orange.
Palate
Fine and highly precise, the palate unfolds with freshness and creaminess, mingling fruity (wild strawberry) and minty notes.
Food and wine pairing
Ideal as an aperitif, this Cuvée Royale Brut Rosé also pairs well with white meats as well as lightly sweetened desserts.
Serving
For optimal enjoyment, chill this champagne in an ice bucket twenty minutes before serving, and enjoy between 46°F and 50°F (8°C to 10°C).
