James Suckling

Discreet and nuanced nose, showing lemon curd, brioche and pie-crust notes. A hint of savory umami, too. Beautiful integration of autolysis with the fruit. Subtle and creamy, with a really fine, nicely woven perlage that is closely knit with the zesty citrus fruit. Elegant, chalky and long, with a gentle and mouthwatering finish. There is power even if it’s more about finesse and elegance here. Drink now or hold.

Jancis Robinson

Jancis Robinson

77% Pinot Noir, most of the rest Chardonnay. Seven years on lees. Punchy, intense mineral nose. Very refreshing and well put together. Fine texture and a little more open than some 2013s. Beautiful balance. Super-refreshing. A relatively delicate, Pinot Noir-based champagne. (JR)

Falstaff

Falstaff

Medium golden yellow, delicate mousse. A hint of cookie and honey underpinned by an abundance of stone fruit and citrus fruit, notes of orange blossom. Complex, full-bodied, ripe yellow fruit, white nougat, carried by the fresh acidity of the vintage, remains very persistent, shows length, ginger nuances on the finish, a juicy food companion with further certain ageing potential.

A mature Champagne that has fine, ripe white fruits set against a mineral edge. The wine's lightly toasty character is now integrated with the fruit. It is ready to drink.
