Description
Carruades de Lafite-Rothschild 2016 was produced under difficult growing circumstances. Summer began with a drought. For two months, the vines had to rely on their stored water. This heatwave lasted significantly longer than 2015. It wasn’t until September 13th that rain fell from the sky. Weather remained warm and dry until the end of the harvest, allowing them to mature perfectly.
Carruades de Lafite-Rothschild 2016 is a blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The nose has aromas of very concentrated black fruits and tobacco. This Pauillac is rather sophisticated (a great representation of the terroir) with fine and well-integrated tannins. Freshness and precision are waiting for us in every sip. A classic and solid Carruades.
