Description
Characteristics and tasting tips for the Prestige 2025 from Minuty
Tasting
Appearance
With brilliant clarity, the wine reveals a pale hue with very delicate pink reflections.
Nose
Expressive and pure, the nose opens with floral notes accompanied by aromas of yellow-fleshed fruits, evoking apricot and peach.
Palate
On the palate, the wine reveals a fine tension supported by marked saline minerality and a persistent finish.
Food and wine pairings
This rosé pairs perfectly with a seafood platter featuring oysters, whelks, and clams. It also pairs beautifully with ceviche, sushi, California rolls, or grilled fish. For a Mediterranean touch, opt for Milanese-style veal, pasta with clams, Provençal stuffed vegetables, or a vegetable tian.
Serving and cellaring
The Prestige 2025 is best enjoyed at a temperature between 46 and 50°F. This wine can be enjoyed until around 2027.
A vibrant and mineral Provence rosé
The estate
Built during the reign of Napoleon III, Château Minuty was purchased in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet, who undertook to restore it to its former glory. In 1955, the estate joined the small circle of the 23 Crus Classés among the wines of the Côtes de Provence. The estate later crossed paths with Monique and Etienne Matton who, through their dedicated work, greatly contributed to establishing the reputation of Château Minuty on the finest tables of the French Riviera. Today, brothers Jean-Etienne and François Matton proudly carry on the legacy while bringing a modern spirit to the estate.
The vineyard
The Prestige 2025 comes from a selection of the finest terroirs of the Côtes de Provence appellation. The estate enjoys a privileged location in Gassin, where the vines thrive in a preserved environment. The property practices sustainable viticulture without herbicides or pesticides and continues the tradition of manual harvesting, remaining one of the last estates in Côtes de Provence to uphold this demanding practice.
Winemaking and aging
The production of the Prestige 2025 is based on a rigorous selection of juices, followed by gentle pressing and low-temperature fermentation. No malolactic fermentation is carried out in order to preserve the wine’s freshness and vibrancy.
Grape varieties
Grenache, Syrah, Rolle, Cinsault.
