Saint-Joseph Ro-Rée 2015 of Louis Chèze: an ample and generous white wine

The Saint-Joseph Ro-Rée of Louis Chèze is a white wine made with a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, produced in the Saint-Joseph appellation. Aged 15 to 40 years on average, the vines are planted on granitic soils and migmatic leucocrats. The aging is carried out in oak barrels, with a proportion of 20% new barrels, and the rest in barrels of 2 or 3 previous wines, for 8 to 10 months depending on the vintage.

With its luminous pale yellow color, the Saint-Joseph Ro-Rée 2015 of Louis Chèze develops a great delicacy on the nose, with notes of acacia, hawthorn and honey. The wine reveals itself to be ample and generous on the palate, later offering a splendid mineral finish. To consume in its fruity youth or after a few years of aging.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2015 Saint Joseph Ro-Ree Blanc is also impressive, with a huge nose of orange blossom, tangerine, citrus and flowers. Made from 60% Marsanne and 40% Roussanne that was brought up all in barrel, drink this honeyed, exotic, incredibly perfumed white over the coming 3-4 years.
