Fleur de Bouard reveals an elegant second wine from Lalande de Pomerol

The estate

The Chateau's great wine, La Fleur de Bouard 2019 reveals the aromatic expression of the beautiful terroir of Lalande de Pomerol, an appellation located on the right bank of the Bordeaux region.

The vineyard

The Chateau La Fleur de Boüard vineyard covers 29.5 hectares. The Le Plus de La Fleur de Bouard 2020 was made from a selection of 60-year-old vines planted on a gravelly outcropping containing 15 to 20% clay.

Vinification and aging

Pre-fermentation maceration at 8 to 10 ° C. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 4 to 6 weeks. The vinification as well as the malolactic fermentation were carried out in barrels (with aging on lees). Aging lasted 33 months in French oak barrels (100% new barrels). The wine was neither fined nor filtered.
