The second wine of Chateau La Fleur de Bouard, Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard 2019 reveals the aromatic expression of the very beautiful Lalande de Pomerol terroir, an appellation located on the right bank of the Bordeaux region.
The Chateau La Fleur de Bouard vineyard covers 34.2 hectares of vines aged 25 years on average. The latter are planted in clayey-sandy and clayey-gravelly soils. The Plus de La Fleur de Bouard is made from a selection of 60-year-old vines planted on a gravelly outcropping with 15 to 20% clay.
Pre-fermentation maceration from 8 to 10 ° C. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration for 4 to 6 weeks. Vinification in barrels. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.
Aging on the lees. 33 months in French oak barrels, no fining, no filtration, 100% new barrels.
