The complexity of a fresh and fruity Lalande de Pomerol

The Grand Vin of the estate, La Fleur de Bouard 2018 presents a pure aromatic expression of the beautiful terroir of Lalande de Pomerol, an appellation located on the right bank of the Bordeaux region.

Château La Fleur de Boüard oversees an exceptional vineyard made up of 34.2 hectares of vines, averaging 25 years old, planted on clayey-sandy and clay-gravelly soils.

The Château La Fleur de Boüard 2018 is made from a blend of Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%).

When tasted, the Château La Fleur de Boüard 2018 displays in the glass a deep purple robe with purplish reflections. The aromatic bouquet seduces with its fruit-forward expression, especially with notes of black fruits and blueberries evolving on powerful aromas of chocolate and licorice. Revealing a beautiful definition, the palate presents juicy and delicious fruit, evolving constantly upon a structure of dense, tight tannins. The vintage presents beautiful persistence on the finish.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 La Fleur de Boüard displays pronounced scents of baked blackberries, black cherry coulis and tilled soil with hints of kirsch, dried herbs and fungi. Medium to full-bodied with generous black fruits and a soft texture, it has just enough freshness and an earthy finish. The blend here is 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon.
