Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild 2009

All Vintages of this wine

The 2009 Petit Mouton exhibits a purple-tinted dense red colour. On the nose, this Chateau Mouton-Rothschild Pauillac possesses infinite finesse, showing a good ripeness of the grapes saturated with sunshine in this sunny vintage. The dark berries aromatic palette outbursts without restriction on the palate on smashed blackberry and fleshy Burlat cherry notes. The whole is very delicate with subtle notes of spices and vanilla. The palate elegance distinguishes itself through its breadth and powerful tannin texture. The fruity finish extends the aromas with an intense length. 2009 Petit Mouton is a second vin (on principal) of great elegance. This Pauillac is harmonious and perfectly reproduces the greatness a Mouton-Rothschild terroir.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2009 Le Petit Mouton is deep garnet colored and saunters out of the glass with bold black cherries, warm cassis and plum preserves notions plus hints of menthol, sassafras, black pepper and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is completely coated with generous black fruits, framed by plush tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long.
