Fifth growth Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste’s second label, Lacoste Borie pays reverence to the two families that a rich history of growing grapes on the property. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet, this wine is hand harvested and aged in French oak barrels (30% new oak) for 14-16 months.
Tasting notes: Youthful bouquet of dark black fruits, licorice, vanilla, wood spices, minerality and a distinct herbaceousness. Bright acidity and ripe tannin. Rustic but pleasant wine, whose savory notes can benefit from more time in bottle.
