The aromatic finesse of a great white wine from the Rhône Valley
The property
Located south of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône Valley, the Domaine Saint Préfert, established in 1920, has been taken over since 2003 by Isabel Ferrando. Passionate about her terroir, this former senior executive in banking turned winemaker notably carries out a rigorous mass selection of certain grape varieties from the estate.
Coming from a vineyard conducted in organic and biodynamic agriculture, the exceptional wines of Domaine Saint Préfert are recognized by numerous international critics.
The vineyard
The vineyard from which this Chateauneuf-du-Pape white 2019 from Domaine Saint Préfert is composed of rolled pebbles, gravel, limestone, and sand.
Vinification and aging
Vinification in whole harvest exclusively. The aging is carried out for a period of 6 months in demi-muids.
Blend
Clairette (60%) and roussanne (40%).

Color
The color is pale yellow with delicate golden reflections.
Nose
The aromatic nose combines notes of dog rose and acacia with fruity aromas (ripe pear, white peach, apricot).

Ample and creamy, the palate with a saline structure reveals notes of honey, pineapple, brioche, fennel, and fresh butter.
