The estate
Owned by the Miailhe family for over 160 years, Chateau Siran is one of the emblematic references in the Margaux appellation. Chateau Siran was already renowned for the quality of its wines in the 18th century.
The vineyard
Chateau Siran 2021 is a Margaux wine that stems from a 25-hectare vineyard which is superbly situated on gravel and pebble soils. The vines are 37 years old on average and are planted on outcroppings of old alluvial soils, covered with fine clayey gravel. The vineyard is managed using sustainable viticultural practices and without chemical herbicides.
The vintage
A delicate vintage for Bordeaux vineyards, Chateau Siran 2017 will certainly be remembered. Regarded as the estate’s finest vintage ending in -7 since the Dantesque 1947, Chateau Siran 2017 presents the finesse and the personality that make for the very finest Margaux wines.
