An aromatic and well-balanced Saint-Estephe wine
Founded at the beginning of the 19th century and proudly overlooking the Gironde estuary, Chateau Phelan-Segur is a reference among fine Saint-Estephe wines.
Chateau Phelan-Segur watches over a 70-hectare vineyard in the heart of the appellation, divided into four distinct plots. The vines are 35 years old on average and are planted on a clayey gravel soil.
A cool winter delayed budburst, followed by a mild spring which favored a rapid and even flowering period. While July was hot and dry, August and September were cool and punctuated by stormy spells.
