Description
The estate
Owned by Domaines Delon, Chateau Nenin embodies, according to the Delon family, "the expression of a great Pomerol meant to age". This 19th century estate was acquired by the Delon family in 1997 and underwent a major restructuring, bringing Chateau Nenin to the top of high-quality Pomerol.
The vineyard
Upon a veritable mosaic of terroirs, the 32-hectare vineyard of Chateau Nenin is planted, all in one piece, in clayey soils, silica gravel soils, quartz, granite, basalt pebbles and iron ore.
The blend
Merlot (70%), cabernet franc (30%).
The tasting
Tasted as a wine future, the Chateau Nenin 2019 is full of finesse. The, floral and fruity bouquet expresses aromas of black fruits. Round and fine on the palate, the Chateau Nenin 2019 reveals precise and well-integrated tannins. Resolutely elegant, this great Pomerol wine will evolve perfectly over time spent aging in the bottle, reaching its peak in 2024, but with the potential to age until 2043.
