The typicity of a great Pomerol red wine

With a 32-hectare vineyard, the Chateau Nenin is part of the references of the Pomerol appellation on the right bank of Bordeaux. Its exceptional terroir is characterized by the presence of a great diversity of soils, made up of siliceous clay and gravel, quartz, granite, iron slag and basalt pebbles.

For this 2013 vintage, the harvest took place from October 1st to October 13th, 2013. Chateau Nenin 2013 is made from a blend of merlot (67%) and cabernet franc (33%). Chateau Nenin 2013 is a sure value of the Pomerol appellation.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2013 Nenin has a conservative, rather serious bouquet with broody, tertiary black fruit, the 33% Cabernet Franc imparting a slight cured meat accent. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, straightforward red berry fruit mixed with sea salt and a touch of dried orange peel. It is quite linear and slightly lean towards the finish, which is no surprise given the vintage, ensuring that this will be an early drinking Nenin to enjoy over the next 6-8 years.
