The freshness of a silky red grand vin from Margaux

The Grand Vin of the property, the Chateau Malescot St Exupery 2018 blends Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), complemented by Merlot (32%) and Cabernet Franc (8%). The wine is aged in barrels for 13 to 15 months.

The Grand Cru Classe of Margaux, Chateau Malescot St Exupery is located on the left bank of Bordeaux. The Chateau expands over a 28-hectare vineyard spread over the most beautiful terroirs of the Margaux appellation, with soils of Pyrenean gravel.

At the tasting, the Chateau Malescot Saint Exupéry 2018 presents an expressive aromatic bouquet, revealing slightly woody notes when stirred. Balanced and beautifully deep, the palate offers gourmet tannins and a silky texture, while maintaining a great freshness.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Malescot St. Exupery comes prancing out of the glass with flamboyant raspberry coulis, kirsch and redcurrant jelly scents over a fresh blackcurrant and boysenberry core with wafts of red roses, cinnamon stick and forest floor. Full-bodied, rich and opulent in the mouth, the palate delivers stacks of red fruit, cassis and floral layers with a firm, finely grained frame and plenty of freshness, finishing long and fragrant. Just lovely.
