The Elegance and Richness of a Sauternes Wine
The Estate
Located on the Haut-Barsac plateau, Château Liot has belonged to the David family for several generations.
The Vineyard
A benchmark among Sauternes wines, Château Liot's vineyard spans 40 hectares, including 24 hectares planted with Sauternes varieties and 20 hectares with red and white Graves varieties. This terroir consists of clay-rich, reddish soil over a limestone base. Château Liot has been HVE certified since 2020.
The Vintage
A mild winter encouraged early budbreak in March. September was then marked by significant temperature swings, ensuring rapid berry ripening and preserving the excellent health of the vineyard until harvest, resulting in richly botrytized, ideally concentrated grapes.
Winemaking and Aging
Hand-harvested through three successive sortings. Traditional fermentation and winemaking. Aged in barrels for 12 months.
Blend
Sémillon (80%)
Sauvignon Blanc (15%)
Muscadelle (5%).
