Located in the heart of the Sauternes appellation, the Château La Tour Blanche vineyard occupies an area of 40 hectares between Ciron and Garonne. This 2009 vintage is dominated by Semillon, blended with Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc.
The nose gives off citrus fruit, exotic fruit and grilled bread notes. On swirling, dried fruit notes (apricot, fresh minty) and exotic aromas (guava and pineapple) are revealed. The 2009 Chateau La Tour Blanche has an ample, smooth and fruity palate with a good balance between alcohol, sugar and acidity. A lovely freshness coats the palate and enhances the fresh and candied fruit aromas. The finish is slightly vanilla-flavoured.
Pale gold colored, the 2009 la Tour Blanche gives up bold, youthful tropical fruit notes of green mango and passion fruit with touches of candied citrus and honeysuckle plus savory wafts of toasted almonds and baking bread. The palate is an exercise in poise and elegance with beguiling vibrancy and freshness, finishing long and mineral laced.
