Description

The aromatic expression and elegance of a Pomerol red wine

The property

The vineyard of Château La Pointe extends over 22 hectares planted on a mosaic of soils, giving the wines of the property a unique and delicate style. Accompanied by Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, co-owner of Château Angélus, the property's team has been carrying out significant work since 2008 to evolve cultivation practices in order to best express the full potential of this Pomerol appellation reference.

The vineyard

Château La Pointe is a Red wine produced under the Pomerol appellation. The producing vineyard extends over a total area of 23 hectares, enjoying a terroir composed mainly of clay-gravel soils.

Blend

Merlot and cabernet franc.

Characteristics and tasting advice for Château La Pointe 2014

Tasting

Color
Deep color adorned with violet reflections.

Nose
The nose, which is very pure, is filled with slightly spicy black fruits.

Palate
The palate is first suave and round, juicy, then densifies, offering a beautiful structure. The tannins are tight, in place, very integrated. The fresh and airy finish is carried by the cabernet francs (of great success) which bring persistence and complexity.
