Description
Chateau La Pointe is a red wine produced in the Pomerol appellation. The vineyard covers a total area of 23 hectares, composed of mainly clay and gravel soils. The 2016 blend is composed of 83% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Franc. This year the conditions were unbelievable, with miraculous downpours that stopped just before flowering. The summer drought made it possible for the grapes to produce wines with great tannic potential, while the cool nights were able to maintain their acidity and a perfect aromatic expression.
Dense in color with violet reflections, Chateau La Pointe 2016 develops a floral bouquet (violets), wild berries, cedar, dark spices and sandalwood. In the mouth, it is suave, fresh and splendidly balanced. The length is incredible, gentle and voluptuous, with a delicious finish.
