Under the leadership of talented Managing Director Philippe Delfaut, this superb estate with an Irish name has in recent years undergone a great modernization and restructuring project. 2018 marks the turning of a new page in the history of Chateau Kirwan, with a vineyard that is now 100% organic and certified HVE 3 (High Environmental Value Level 3). The investments, effort and close attention paid by the Chateau Kirwan team, from the vineyard to the winery, are justly rewarded by the excellence of their wines, which have become some of the best in the Margaux appellation.

The Chateau Kirwan 2017 confirms the position of the property among the greatest of the appellation. With its freshness, elegance and balance, the Chateau Kirwan 2017 displays a style faithful to the signature of the estate. The beautifully crafted bouquet is typical of a 2017 vintage Margaux, exuding pure aromas of black berries, evolving upon aeration fragrances freshly cut tobacco leaves. On the palate, the wine displays the typical mouthfeel of a Margaux wine, a velvety texture enhanced by a brilliant acidity that stretches into an elegant and fresh finish.
