Grand-Puy Ducasse, an ample and classy Pauillac cru classé

The winemaker will remember 2016 as an unprecedented vintage, with a very rainy spring and a summer without end. The tremendous harvest conditions of the 2016 Indian summer were reminiscent of those of the greatest vintages. For its blend Château Grand-Puy Ducasse chose 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot.

Inky in color, very dark with violet reflections. The nose of this Pauillac is very dense and concentrated but boldly expresses fragrances rich in very delicious black fruits. The aromatic freshness is absolute and also creates an impression of tension. The palate is dynamic and the mid-palate - dense and with broad shoulders - is wrapped in fruits (the crunch of a grape), organized around tannins of great maturity and noble juice. The end of the palate of the Grand-Puy Ducasse 2016 is creamy, fresh and as a whole very balanced. Very classy and of great keeping potential.
