A fresh and complex fine red wine from Margaux
The property
Chateau du Tertre is a Margaux Grand Cru located on the left bank of Bordeaux. Since its acquisition in late 1997 by Eric Albada Jelgersma, considerable investments have been made in order to bring out the best of this exceptional terroir with wines of very rare consistency.
The vineyard
Chateau du Terte reigns over a beautiful 45-hectare vineyard located in the Margaux appellation. The sandy-clay gravel soils of this exceptional terroir prevent excessive water stress during hot and dry months by ensuring a constant availability of water.
The winemaking
Harvest from September 23 to October 11. Manual and optical sorting. Wood, concrete and stainless steel tanks. Maceration for 21 days in thermo-regulated vats at 24 ° C.
The aging
12 months in French oak barrels. 30% new oak.
The blend
Cabernet sauvignon (54%), merlot (27%), cabernet franc (13%), petit verdot (6%).

Tasted as a wine future, the Chateau du Tertre 2019 is a dense and delicious wine that is both fresh and aromatic. A complex Bordeaux fine wine to appreciate in its youth, which will also evolve beautifully over time spent aging in the bottle.
