Produced on a total surface area of 47.5 hectares in the Pomerol appellation, Chateau de Sales is a blend of 84.5% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6.5% Cabernet Franc. The vines have an average age of 30-years-old and are grown in sandy gravel soils with iron oxide.
With a beautiful ruby color, the Chateau de Sales 2006 offers a nose of great intensity and complexity. There are fresh fruit aromas of blackberry and plum, as well as spice and notes of forest floor. In the mouth, this charming wine shows a splendid suppleness and balance while having a solid tannic structure. It is a wine to enjoy now.
