The typicality of a red Grand Vin from Pomerol

The largest property of Pomerol with 47.6 hectares of vineyards located on the right bank of Bordeaux, Chateau de Sales is one of the must-try references of the appellation.

While the beginning of the 2018 vintage began with humid and rainy weather conditions, resulting in significant mildew pressure, a beautiful summer and dry, hot autumn followed, allowing the fruit to develop a beautiful phenolic character. Beginning on September 18 and lasting until October 5, the harvest took place under the best climatic conditions.

The Chateau de Sales 2018 blends Merlot (69%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (16%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, already showing all of the qualities of a superb vintage.

    Wine Advocate-Parker :
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 De Sales rocks up with expressive blackberries and black cherries notes with an undercurrent of tilled soil, truffles and mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, it has a solid structure of ripe, rounded tannins and impressive freshness, finishing with bright black fruit layers.
