Description
The estate
Located in the Saint-Estephe appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Cos Labory owes its name to the word "caux," meaning “the stony hill,” in reference to its location on the aptly named gravel hill "Cos".
The vineyard
This 18-hectare vineyard is planted in Quaternary gravel soils with remarkable drainage, allowing the vines access to water in the event of water stress.
The winemaking
Harvest from September 25 to October 10. Merlot from September 25 to 30. Petit Verdot on October 2. Cabernet Sauvignon from October 3 to 10.
The aging
Aging in barrels. 50% new oak.
The blend
Cabernet sauvignon
(60%), merlot (34%), cabernet franc (6%).
